Impact Of The Environment
A huge part of the Whale Sharks diet is microscopic organisms that float in the sea called plankton. Currently plankton levels in the ocean are very healthy however if the plankton levels do increase the sea waters get murkier. With the Whale Sharks eating plankton they help the plankton levels stay regulated.
Human Impact
Humans pose a great threat to whale sharks for multiple reasons. One big threat is Whale Shark tourism. Tourists can interrupt the Whale Sharks feeding times.
Propellers on passing boats also pose a threat to Whale Sharks because the propellers can injure and cut the Whale Sharks. Oil remains can harm all different types of animals including Whale Sharks.
